I can't say enough good words about North Florida welding. My husband and I had a 1995 Onan Generator in our Vintage Toy Hauler. It wasn't working when we reached Lake City FL. The Onan technician there is very knowledgeable. He diagnosed the problems with our gen and gave us all our options. During this time, we were able to be plugged in. We were even invited to eat with the crew. We ended up deciding to purchase a new generator. Ours could have been fixed, but we wanted the warranty. This was a great experience. I can't say enough about the staff at this facility. David K. was our technician. He is extremely knowledgeable about all Onan generators. Trust this man, he will take great care of you. Thank you again North Florida Welding.

When our RV generator stopped producing power, we checked with several RV shops in GA and they all recommended North Florida Welding.
We were extremely pleased with David and the whole group at NFW when we dropped off our RV for the repair (Onan/Cummins 8k diesel). We are fulltimers so being out of our RV for even short periods is difficult, but they knew our timeline and were very fast to get the work done within our 4 day window. (We visited St Augustine while they were working on the coach). They even stayed late to ensure we were out the door and on the road when we needed to be. Their prices were very good, and David knew some shortcuts that saved money instead of removing the whole genset from the coach. Don't expect a fancy, spotless shop or you will be disappointed. But if you want high quality, honest work that is priced right then you want to go here. Highly recommended.

THIS PLACE IS AWESOME! We had taken our generator to two different places and they were unable to diagnose the problem. The Ooan would run for 15 minutes and just quit. During hurricane Dorian, we called around to give it one more try and was referred to North Florida Welding Supply. David attended to it immediately, worked on it for 5 hours and was VERY HAPPY with the bill! We are back on the road and the generator is purring!

The Best for generator service. When I had trouble with the generator on my RV, I got recommended to them and I'm glad I did. They are the absolutely best bar none, even Cummins service center.

The customer service is great and they are THE place for generator service. I'm not a welder but I'll bet their service on welders is tops also. They are my destination for generator service!

Above and beyond! This review is waaaay past due..
Last summer we were traveling to DisneyWorld from Texas. We started experiencing generator issues almost immediately, and it finally quit about at the Florida state line. We called ahead to Camping World and were directly referred to NFWS (referral to a Welding shop?!?). Come to find out they are the local Cummins/Onan rep. Late on a Saturday afternoon, happened to catch 'the old man' (his words!) by phone before he left for the day. Explained to him what was happening before it died. He said they were closed, but would stick around if we were nearby. He waited over an hour for us to arrive. Upon arrival, I went in and we talked through the problem. He offered a temporary solution to confirm suspicions- which resulted in the unit running as normal. Being after hours and no technicians on site- I was able to drop by the auto parts store and get us cooled down again- and permanently fix the problem upon our return. He even called me a couple hours later to ensure we were up and running!
While noone hopes to need repairs while on the road, I couldn't recommend a better place to break down. Amazing what can be 'fixed' just by talking through problems- without even picking up a wrench! Old school, no-BS approach- which is quite rare these days!
