I have to say something about Key West . It is not easy to find grass in the whole city. There are only very few spots in the old town . So if you book your hotel in a part of the city where there is no grass you have to walk a lot to reach these places. This park is beautiful, and my dogs enjoy the grass and sunny day. You can see they take care of this park . We love it.

It’s a beautiful place to walk around while kids play in the very well maintained adapted playground. There’s also a splash pad for kids to enjoy on a hot summer day. Restrooms are also very close to the playground. We went on December 29th and it was not very crowded. A good spot to go for a picnic. It’ll be good to carry snacks and water to the place as I didn’t spot any eateries close to the park. It is better and faster to walk to restaurant’s and cafe in nearby streets than taking car around.

Lovely waterfront park! We visited on a Thursday and enjoyed the farmers' market, which had fresh fruit, vegetables, souvenirs, freshly squeezed drinks, chips and salsa, plants, handbags, and more. There's also a splash area for kids. It's a great spot to stroll around or relax and do some birdwatching.

Great park, not in the usual path for tourists so it’s usually not very crowded which is nice.

Great views of the ocean and you can see a number of coast guard vessels, noaa vessels, etc depending on the day.

Lots of roosters and chickens and other wildlife that hangs out near the parks parking lots.

There’s also a coast guard museum on a retired vessel that’s docked up alongside the park.

Unless you have just never been to Key West's famous Sunset Celebration (and if you have not, you definitely should at least once in your life), this spot is way better than the much more well-known Mallory Square for amazing Key West sunsets. Same gorgeous sunsets as Mallory, but without Sunset Key blocking your view. And as an added bonus, this park is an awesome asset to both locals and tourists alike, with lots of greenspace, an awesome (mostly shady!) playground and splashpad, a weekly farmers market (Thursdays 4-7pm), a fitness trail, and even a coastguard cutter museum! Some of the best things in life are still free!
