The Project
I had an excellent experience working with betterme productions and CEO Chris Cano. I am responsible for marketing and fundraising to build a new performing arts center on the bay in Sarasota, Florida. We had not yet hired an architect firm and therefore, did not have any assets, e.g. renderings, drawings or photographs to tell our story. The challenge for betterme was to create without assets, a truly inspiring video that would move audiences to support the new performing arts center.

Why betterme
Every part of my experience with betterme, from initial call to completion and delivery of final video was professional and exceptional. I liked that betterme appealed to and aligned with mission-driven organizations. We had a very short production schedule that included multiple locations in Sarasota, New York and Chicago. Chris and betterme were up to the challenge!

Process
I can’t say enough about the process. Meetings were efficient. Deliverables were timely. Notes were eagerly taken and revisions promptly completed. Each talented team member exhibited genuine passion for the project.

Budget
Chris and betterme came in just a few hundred dollars under our budget. I’ve rarely worked with someone who could deliver so much, on time and within budget. Weather, pandemic, air travel and other bumps in the road did not prevent betterme from delivering on schedule and on budget.

Quality
The final product is beautiful and effective - feeling more like a film than a video. We premiered the video at our annual gala which raised $1.7M.

They shot footage of the Admiral team summit covering physical activities, classrooms, personal interviews with many on the team, and bonding activities like bowling and billiards. They pulled all the footage together with strong grading, intelligent cuts, creating several montages that were aligned with our desired outcomes.

Chris was very responsive to our requests and goals; I always felt like he read my emails carefully, and delivered what we asked. If there were questions, he would call to confirm. We were provided with mid-project rough cuts so there were no surprises late.
