Capt. Dan Matthews and mate James put us on the fish and instructed us perfectly. We took home dinner and even caught a beautiful sailfish!
Great tunes, great vibes, and overall amazing day of fishing! I highly recommend Miss Chief Charters to beginner and experienced fishermen alike.

Great experience. Perhaps the hardest working Captain in the Keys. Overall, fishing was a little slow in Key Largo when we went but Captain Dan never gave up. Rather than do what many other charters did that day which was give up and head over to a reef to catch small fish (which was also very slow fishing), Captain Dan worked extremely hard at trying every method imaginable to catch some fish. His hard work ultimately paid off and we were able to catch a Sailfish. He then made sure my other son could land a few fish and was able to locate a spot for him to catch a few Grouper and Snapper. There are no guarantees in fishing but if you want to give yourself an advantage, I would highly recommend Captain Dan whose knowledge and work ethic is second to none.

Thanks to Capt Dan and first mate John we had a wonderful half day fishing in a choppy sea. Dan made the best of the day for us and John worked hard to make sure we were all fishing all the time. It was non stop action. These guys love their fishing and I wouldn’t hesitate a recommend them for a trip.

Evening update - Dan recommended we take the catch to Sharkey’s Grill and ask to have it cooked for us to eat. We did and it was delicious. Incredibly reasonable too!

We had an absolutely fantastic day on the water with Captain Dan, Deckhand Matt, and Deckhand-in-training Delaney.

Captain Dan put us on the fish quickly, was super informative, answered any and all questions and made sure we had a fun day at sea. Matt worked crazy hard to keep all the lines baited and rigged and in the water and Delaney (Dan’s daughter) was a fun addition, helping Dan and Matt all day long.

We had a great day and would absolutely book with Miss Chief if (hopefully when) we’re in the area again.

This is not a luxury cruise. If you are serious about fishing, you will get along just fine. We had a lot of success with Captain Dan. He and his deckhand worked hard to find the fish for us and I was very pleased.

Our first time using a charter in Key Largo, and what an AWESOME time we had! The crew were helpful, fun and very nice! This was my sons first off shore fishing (hes 7) and the crew made sure he had the best time! If you're in the area and are looking for a great charter, i highly recommend these guys! Great weather tons of fish and good vibes what more to ask for!! We surely will be back!

Fished with captain Dan once before and wouldn’t ever fish with any other charter anyways, but this trip was made memorial, caught my pb and had the best time out on the water. Waves were high but it didn’t matter, we tore them fish up! And captain dan handled the boat with ease.
Will continue fishing with miss chief charters and can’t wait for the next trip
