Great photo shop, quick, clean, and professional. Customers have taken many 35mm film rolls to be developed, with the process taking about four days. The pricing on their website menu is accurate, and it reflects paying in cash, with a 3% up charge for credit card payments. It is recommended to bring a USB for them to put the scans on, as this can be quicker and cheaper.

Cheapest 35mm color 200 ISO film roll they sell is Kodak Gold for around $12, and they also have B&W for sale. Customers started going to Kubus Photo Service after a large mail-in service lost a roll of film for them. It is always better to hand someone your film.

Recommendation: For anyone seeking high-quality photo services, including photo developing, passport photos, and photo restoration, Kubus Photo Service is an excellent choice. Located in Brooklyn, NY, with a wheelchair-accessible parking lot and convenient payment options, this photo shop is sure to cater to your needs. Started going here after a large mail in service lost a roll on me. Always better to hand someone your film.

i’ve had rolls of 35mm film developed and scanned here, and i am always impressed at the speed and quality of the scans! no need to come back for negatives or prints to scan myself, they are quick to email you (& keep your info in the system). i highly recommend kubus especially if you’re in the area.

The prices are affordable, but the quality of the photos taken for documents is terrible, with poor color reproduction that gives the photos a yellowish tint. When I asked about this, the staff rudely implied that I wasn’t a specialist. I took the photos twice, at different times, and the issue occurred both times. I do not recommend this service.

Amazing and helpful staff! I came in to develop some disposable cameras and have them scanned and emailed to me. Very quick and fairly priced, simple to download. I also had some photos printed from my phone at the store which came out great. Highly recommend!

I dropped my film off for scans, but had to delay picking them up. It turns out they destroy film after 30 days if it’s not picked up. I was not told about this time limit at any point in the process. I was not expecting them to store it indefinitely, but if I had known I could have arranged someone else to pick them up, or if they emailed me, which they had my email on the film slip, before destroying it I could let them just know when I would be able to be in or get someone else in. The scans were fine but I would recommend somewhere that shows more care for others property.
Edit: for transparency on my end, I did not visit the website, I called and asked about prices. I maintain that I was not verbally told I must pick up within 30 days. I cannot recall signing a paper with that policy (it’s possible I did, but I have no way of confirming). I do not recall pricing screens with this policy, just written signs, that may be a new thing. None of the 3 emails regarding my order had this information, which to me is the most obvious place to put it and difficult for people to miss.

Just moved to the area and needed to develop some disposable cameras. Processing took under 72 hours, and the photos turned out great! Would recommend and will be returning!

Had to revise my review after all these years. Went in about two months ago, and seems to be under new management. After 14 years of getting my film developed here, I have moved on. Price to quality is no longer balanced. I was illogically explained that my split frame film could not be scanned in, or printed per film slide. But, instead had to be treated as individual images, doubling prints/scans, and adding to the cost. Note, for the last 14 years they have treated each frame as a single print/scan, and have never doubled the project. With a resurgence of film, it’s been easy to move on and find resources on my professional level. Below are some images from our last three rolls, before the possible became impossible. Peace out Kubus✌️

Don’t go to cvs or Walgreens for your passport photo. This place does a much better job with a high quality camera and backdrop. Super nice team here. I was in and out in 5 mins for my passport photos
