MY EXPERIENCE WAS 10/10! They have my business for life.

Here's why:

For a first time renter like me, I appreciate the guidance and expertise that they have. I was thinking of renting a guitar for the first time...and, honestly...I felt that they were really passionate about what they do. They educated me about the instrument, how to properly clean and store it.

Although I came in at a busy time, the staff were friendly, very encouraging and they boosted my confidence with the instrument that I'm thinking of renting.

When I was inside the store, I was just a bit sad that some families are taking advantage of them, I overheard a family who were entitled for a discount for a repair...when in hindsight, They never bought the instrument at the store in the first place. I guess they just bought a cheaper instrument online and now they realized it's not working properly. The family was so rude to the staff the entire time and demanded the instrument to be repaired immediately. I was shocked. Is this the new norm for the tri valley community? If we don't get want we want, they throw a fit at the store?

The staff was still friendly to the family, offered some guidance and gave them some options...but still, it wasn't enough.

I praised the staff on handling that situation...that's when I knew, they have my business for life.

Anyway, The owner's son helped me set up my guitar...shared some tips, shared some favorite genre of music...they also have a collection of VINYLS! WE NEED THIS IN PLEASANTON!!

I would come back here....they have a business for life!

Worst experience ever. Will never return this store.
The seller was arrogant and rude, claiming our instrument is fake and as such, he didn't want to serve us!
The instrument is confirmed by the manufacturer to be genuine but even if it was not, it is not a way to handle customers.
Do yourself a favor and go to a different music shop.

Came in on a busy Sun morning to rent a violin for my daughter. Very efficient - rental agreement was online and quick. They let us choose between two violins, but we’re newbies and didn’t know the difference. Bought a shoulder pad for $20 and adjustable music stand for $12– I think it was cheaper than Amazon. Pretty happy to support a local business, especially when the service is excellent. I felt the rental price was reasonable, too at $20/month

I thought this place was better around this area. Now I found out that they are very greedy. I rented a flute for the whole school year. As the school ends, I returned on the same day when my billing cycle starts. Spoke to the owner who answered my phone as well. Apparently, I was auto charged around 5:30am in the morning but I returned the instrument at 3pm. Though they got the instrument back, he told me that he won’t refund for the fact that I was late for few hours and still charged for the whole month. It doesn’t sound fair to me at all. I would think twice before I go to this store again.

Zero star. I was there with my child. I believe it’s the owner’s son that I spoke with. Pure sarcasm. Was very sarcastic towards me in-front of another customer. Staff was much more respectful and responsive in answering to our inquiries. He could just answered us properly instead he was very rude.

We have been standing in line for at least 15-20 mins. The guy behind the counter is talking and chatting about when he was in high school, showing the customer different damaged violins, and literally taking forever. I can tell that the gentlemen behind the counter are super friendly and customer oriented, but there is a long line. We have all been waiting forever!!!

Very professional and friendly. My son's trumpet mouthpiece got stuck, and they helped me got it out, and did not charge me. I was very surprised and happy about that. Very nice people! Highly recommended.
