I've been with JS west for years.
Then I moved to a new location.
Upon putting in a thirty thousand b t u heater, I called js west. Their rep came out. Look at my project and told me he would get back to me soon On whether they could provide propane or not. I never heard back from him. That was back in early november twenty twenty four. fortunately, I had also contacted hunt propane. Their representative came out the next day told me he would call me back and did so within 1 hour.
In 2 days, I had propane and a propane tank. Hunt propane was great customer service all the way around.

J.S. West has always been considerate by having the driver call the night before, to ensure I'm here to enter through our gate.

In addition; the last driver Brandon, (whom I've never met), left a "feel better" note w/a smiley face when I was sick. That actually made me feel better.
Thank you Brandon, I hope to meet you some day soon.

Worst gas company. Would not recommend. They are not willing to work with there client's. Very rude. I told them that I can pay them on the first and 12 days before the first, they came and took my regulator. Leaving me and my kids with no propane. Almost everything in this house runs on propane. Another gas company recommend that I hook up a 5 gallon. Just to make it until the end of the month.
So I did. I told them that I need a stove and hot water for my children and I'm only doing this to get by for a week or two. She was mad that I decided to do this. Instead of paying to fill it.
Well because I hooked up a 5 gallon, they removed the regulator and left my family and I with no propane. They apparently couldn't wait the 12 days for me to get paid. I am a new tenant here. I was not aware the tank was empty until I moved in. I have not been late on a payment or missed a payment. There was no reason to take my equipment and leave us with no way to shower or cook. I simply told her that I couldn't hook up until the first when I got paid. I planned on turning on service on the first. They came and did this before I was even a customer.
I personally wouldn't want to work with a gas company that would leave a family with no way to cook or shower.

Do not use this company
I've rented several places in the placerville area so i have been a customer to a few differnt local companies and never had anything compare to outrocity of this so called company. They have no idea what's going on. They apparently don't communicate with their drivers and have no kind of valid schedule that they follow leaving you in the dark as to when you'll get propane. They tell you a window of 7 to 10 days with threats of not filling the tank if we aren't here and dogs aren't contained. Then show up before the 7 to 10 day window with a driver that has the customer service of a rat. This was our second time having them out because the first time they overcharged us for our tank that we read off the volume of to them from the placard on the tank. So we had them come bring us our $209 remaining dollars but still needed to pay another $140 to get their "minimum fill. So the rat of a driver gets mad that he again couldn't fill and now they owe us $15 again. Idk where the miscommunication starts and ends but it's extremely confusing and completely unprofessional.

I’ve only lived in my house, not even two months and I’ve already given JS West almost $1800. I don’t understand why they keep coming out and “topping off” my tank 🙄 even though it was still at 65% just yesterday when I checked. Now I am slammed with a $275 bill in a plastic envelope. Sealed to my gate. Not to mention somebody is stopping by and going into my backyard without my consent. I also still owe them another $175 for someone to come out and look at my line because I thought I had a propane leak. They are ripping people off. I simply can NOT afford a $900 propane bill monthly... I do not run my hot water frequently and I keep my smart eco thermostat 70° and monitor it all the time. It’s only my husband and I in a 1260 square-foot house. I’m also not sure where they are getting their numbers as the gallons are not adding up. I’m being charged money for more gallons that are put in my tank and then being told that I need to be topped off even though there’s plenty in the tank to last me several more months. As it as it stands, I have paid for over well, over 300 gallons of propane, even though I have only used 20%. And they only fill up the tank to 85% capacity anyway. I don’t want to be charged for anything that I’m not fully aware of. For all I know that guy is just showing up and putting down random numbers to report back to the company. Unless I’m there watching them fill up my tank and looking at the exact numbers and gallons, I’m not ok paying for service. They are not allowed to just come out of my property and say that they are giving me service and slamming me with a bill when I had no idea what I paid for and why I’m being billed once again. And then I’m supposed to just trust that their numbers are right.. I’d rather take a cold shower or shower at my gym in the mornings and turn on my space heater, then deal with the amount of money that it’s going to take to keep my propane going with this company.

Let me start by saying, this company has thousands of happy customers, and I am one of them. I can say with all sincerity, I've never had anything but a great experience with them. Their prices are very fair, and unlike some companies, they don't hike up the price once your a customer. I'm a will call customer, and as long as do my job and stay on top of my fuel tank and call ahead for the next fill up, there is never an issue. Do no hesitate to give them a call. Kari is great, and will get you set up.

JS West has always been a reliable company for us and has gone above and beyond for service calls when checking new hook ups for potential leaks.

We unfortunately had to switch to AmeriGas in our previous rental and when faced with issues it took them 6 MONTHS to even just call to ask if the issue was still a issue, instead of scheduling a tech to visit.

We are thrilled to be back with JS West in our current home and already am greatly pleased with their response time in regards to getting us switched back to JS West as well as making sure that we are safe with no leaks! Also huge plus is that when you call JS West you get to talk to Local Representatives in your area rather than a call center who knows where.

The office staff have been friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to help regardless the issue. Justin, their manager, has always helpful and is very knowledgeable of the propane industry.
